The Legs of an Active 3 Year Old...

These are the legs of my very active 3 year old. There are at least 3 bruises on each of her legs...and might I mention that we have no clue where each of them came from! Additionally, Paige was playing at Papa's house last night when she lost her footing on the concrete driveway, resulting in the 2 pretty scraped knees. Cleaning those wounds was quite the process and I'm pretty sure my 3 year old hated my life for about 45 seconds while the Peroxide was on her knees. On a brighter note, the Dora band-aids made it all better.

Crafty Chalkboard

Yesterday I needed to do some crafting to get my mind off of some frustrations. It was during naptime so there was no running to the store to find a project...it had to be something laying around the house.

I've had this cutting board for probably 4 years, but it's been in a kitchen cabinet for at least 2 years. I used to have it as a decorative piece on my kitchen counters, but it lost its appeal to me and I just put it away. But yesterday I was glad I had kept it because it was getting a facelift! The weather here was perfect for spray painting, so I took it outside and sprayed it using my spray chalkboard paint! 2 coats and a bow later, here's the outcome:I can change the writing out anytime, but I thought our monogram was a great starting point. I had all the supplies for this project on hand so it cost me $0!

New Shades

I just love Paige's new shades from Aunt Jan! They were in her Easter basket along with lots of other goodies.
I was actually pretty pleased with our attempt at a family picture on Easter this year. Please excuse my raccoon eyes, though...I have been tanning (yikes!), but on Saturday I decided to do a "tanning cocktail" which is laying in a tanning bed for a few minutes then having a spray tan done on top of that. Needless to say, it worked! It gave my tan a boost to say the least!
