Ryan is 8 months old today! I’m just amazed at how fast these past 8 months have flown by…time really needs to slow down. I’ve already started thinking of 1st birthday party ideas and it’s killing me to know that we are only 4 months away from celebrating Ryan’s first year of life here with us. Ryan is the best baby-easy going, go with the flow, not easily upset, and just a true blessing. When we found out about 13 months ago that Ryan was indeed a boy, I was scared to death about having a boy. I had no idea how to care for a boy and I was scared that he wouldn’t need his mama! Quite the opposite is true. Ryan is a mama’s boy through and through and honestly there are times when I could pull my hair out because of it, but I love it more than anything. Here’s what Ryan’s done this month:
-At his 8 month check up last Friday, he weighed 19 pounds, 10 ounces. He’s 29 inches long and his head circumference is 45 cm. He’s a perfectly healthy boy!
-He’s still wearing size 3 diapers. I was about to move him up to size 4, but then instead of the regular Pampers diapers that he normally wears, I tried the Pampers Cruisers and those size 3’s are much more roomy for him.
-He’s outgrown his 6 month pajamas, but can still wear size 6-9 month clothes…except for pants/shorts-those need to be 3-6 month because the boy has no rear end!
-Ryan is still loving his food! He eats 4 8 ounce bottles each day and has cereal/food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
-He’s really trying to say sounds and words. Mmmmm is his favorite sound. I like to think it means that he’s really trying hard to say Mama!
-He knows exactly who you are talking about when you say “Sissy”, “Nanny”, “Papa”, and “Dada”. He also very much recognizes when you say “Hannah Banana”…his favorite cousin by far.
-Ryan has turned into a ballpark rat with Daddy’s game and now Paige has started tball games.
Ryan, we continue to love you more and more every single day. We had no idea what we were missing before you were in our lives! We adore you!!! Love, Mommy and Daddy
