Paige graduated from Kid Care Preschool last night and did a fantastic job in their program! Stephen and I are so proud of the job Paige has done this year in school. We’ve definitely noticed her maturing, not only academically and physically, but socially and spiritually. One of her teachers, Ms. Paula, shared with me last night that Paige is one of the few in her class that really knows right from wrong. She’s not afraid to say when she notices someone that isn’t treating others nicely and she’s very good to always follow the rules.
Paige had quite a group of supporters at her graduation and we are so thankful that we live so close to family. She was able to share her day with Nanny and Papa, Grandma and Papaw JB, Kelby, Uncle Bruce and Aunt Janice, Jaime, Jordan, and Gracie & Bayler, Uncle Michael, Aunt Amanda, Hannah, Hallie, and Parker, Ms. Kim and Mr. Jim, and Stephen, Ryan, and I. She was surrounded by love!
Since her last name was the first alphabetically, Paige was the line leader to Pomp and Circumstance.
They led the crowd in The Pledge of Allegiance.
And sang 3 songs: The ABC Song, 1 Little, 2 Little, 3 Little Bluebirds, and Deep and Wide.
Like I said…she had a lot of supporters! She’s with Gracie, Aunt Jan, and Uncle Bruce in this picture.

With Uncle Michael and family.
Grandma and Papaw JB, who do their best to be at everything!
I love that my Gran is getting to be part of Paige’s life!
We’re proud of our graduate!
And, of course, Papa and Nanny who never miss anything Paige participates in!
Our family was blessed to be able to send Paige to this program this year where she had incredible teachers that emphasized on her class needs, instead of just always sticking to a plan. They went to chapel, music, and library each week and went on several field trips. They brought in lots of guest speakers and allowed her class to experience learning, not just see it on a paper. Her class was encouraged to learn through free play and weren’t confined to their seats all morning.
Paige and Ms. Paula just really hit it off this year. I always knew Paula would love on Paige like I would and I never hesitated to leave her in Paula’s care.
Ms. Carol introduced Paige to lots of music this year. I think it took awhile, but eventually Paige and Carol found a niche together. We know that Carol has fully done her best to prepare Paige for the next step.
At Kid Care, Paige made several good little girl friends. It may sound bad, but we’re still in the “screening” phase of who we’re willing to let Paige become really good friends with…meaning who we are comfortable with letting her have play dates with, spend the night with eventually, etc. We’re glad she got a good start with 2 good buddies:
and Hannah
These past 9 months have absolutely flown by and it rocks me to my core to know that in a little over 3 months, Paige will start Kindergarten. Heavens knows she’s ready…I’m just not sure about me!

I feel your pain. I was there last year. I cried A LOT the first day of kindergarten! But, it gets better over time. This year has gone by quicker than I thought it would and now I'm ready to enjoy the summer at home with him.
Paige will do great in kindergarten! She'll be teaching the class she's so ready. CPS is a wonderful school and she'll love it.
