My daughter is my joy, my comfort, and my angel. For her I am immensely thankful to my Lord! She never ceases to amaze me with everything that she does. Last Wednesday, Paige got to come to school with me for the first time. It was a day I had looked forward to since school started in August. While I love the time away while I'm working, it's hard to be around other kids around her age and not wonder what she's doing or how much fun she's having....without ME! Needless to say, I was extremely excited for her first day of school. I didn't get much sleep the night before because I was so worried that she wouldn't adjust well or most importantly that she wouldn't nap at school. I prayed and prayed and prayed until I finally just knew that God was going to provide for our needs and I had a peace about her naptime. She fussed a little bit, but she slept for 1 1/2 hours at school....praise God! And of course she loved the rest of the day...watercoloring, playing on the slide and swings during recess, watching The Donut Man.
The above pictures of her are priceless. She's so intent on the watercoloring! I loved being able to be her teacher on her first day of school. It's a memory that I will cherish forever!
On another note, Stephen and I began seriously potty training Paige on Sunday. When we went into her bedroom to wake her up from her nap, we found an extremely wet bed and sheets and a Paige with no diaper on. My first reaction was "OH NO! I forgot to put a diaper on her before I laid her down for nap!" Then, my paniced husband found a bone dry diaper laying on the floor on the OUTSIDE of her crib. Paige had taken the diaper off of her before she fell asleep! At that exact moment, Stephen and I both agreed that it was time to potty train. On Sunday afternoon, Paige stayed dry until bedtime and even poopied on the potty! It was a successful first afternoon. However, yesterday was a bit more trying...but we're still making progress. I'm looking forward to having her with me at school tomorrow so I can monitor her pottying, as well as being at home with her for the rest of the week. We're praying a lot through this for patience. I pray a lot for patience....not just with Paige! :)
I'm sorry to literally all 2 of you that read this for not being a more dedicated blogger. I'm motivated now by my sanity at school....JR. We've got too much funny stuff to not blog!
