Mini-Vacation…Day 2

This morning we got up and enjoyed an awesome breakfast in our hotel’s lobby.  I took Stephen to his conference and headed back to the hotel with the intention of showering and getting ready to go get my pedicure and shop around some before Stephen needed to be picked up.  Instead, I got back to the hotel and fell asleep again for 2 hours! It was 11:45 before I left the hotel room this morning….quite nice actually! I then went to pick Stephen up and he went to the horse races for awhile while I went to the mall for my pedicure and shopping.

100_2650I loved every minute of my pedicure today…my feet look a little swollen in this picture because I waited all day before taking this picture.

After the pedicure and Oaklawn, we met up with our friends Mandy and Doyle and their son Ty for supper. Mandy and Doyle wanted an all you can eat crab leg buffet and Stephen and I just ordered off the regular menu. We sat and talked and laughed for over 2 hours…it was nice!  When we left the restaurant, we went to Pirate’s Cove for mini golf!100_2644

Here’s my first shot of the game…

And Stephen’s first shot of the game…

Our attempt for a self portrait in front of the water falls at Pirates Cove…not too bad, but could be better of me!

Stephen did end up beating me by one stroke. I made a come back at the end of the game, but it just wasn’t quite enough.  I beat him the last time we played mini golf so we’re tied 1-1.

100_2653 While this picture makes us look like we’ve had more than just sno cones, I promise we hadn’t had a thing of that nature!  The flash on the camera blinded us both! We enjoyed a Georgia Peach snocone (for me!) and a Strawberry and Grape snocone for Stephen.

Now we’re crashed back at the hotel and ready to get home to see our baby girl! We’ve talked to Grandma several times and Paige has yet to want to talk to either of us! I’m glad she’s completely fine being away from us, but missing us a little would be ok too, right?!
