Paige’s First Dentist Visit

We took Paige to the dentist for the first time this morning-I think I was way more nervous than she was.  As soon as we told her yesterday that she was going to the dentist today, Paige got so excited!  So excited that when Stephen woke her up at 4:30 am this morning to take her to the bathroom, she told him “I can’t wait to go to the dentist, Daddy!  Can we go now?” 

Her dental hygienist was awesome and talked to Paige about every little thing she was going to do before she did it…she counted her teeth, looked for “bugs” (cavities), cleaned her teeth and used the vacuum, and applied a flouride treatment.  Then the dentist came in and looked to make sure everything was good.  He said Paige has better than good teeth-they were perfect! 

Stephen and I got to go back with Paige and we kept looking at each other in amazement because Paige was just that good while she was in the dentist’s chair.  We know we have a great kid, but every once in awhile we get bogged down with discipline, etc. and it’s nice to take her to an appointment like we did today and see that she really does listen to us and absorbs the things we’re expecting of her!
