She’s 5

I am in shock that I now have a 5 year old daughter.  Technically, she could be going off to Kindergarten in August.  Thank goodness we’ve made the decision to not send her this next year…my heart would be hurting way too much right now if I knew I had to give up my days with her.  At 5 years old, Paige is up to these things:

100_4188

-She’s 42 pounds and 45 1/2 inches tall!

-She’s full on energy all the time and talks nonstop!

-She eats very well and hardly refuses anything that is put in front of her.

-Paige is a great big sister…she has her hard moments, of course, but overall she is a huge help and loves to help with Ryan.

-She started t-ball this spring for the first time and loves offense, but gets bored on defense.  Isn’t that the norm?!

-She’s extremely independent

-Paige loves loves loves Cubbies and Sunday School at Church, as well as Kids Own Worship.  She’s learned so many Bible truths and is really starting to put all the pieces together.  We “talk about Jesus” every night before bedtime.  She asks deep questions and we’re very thankful for her softened heart.

-Her manners are impressive.  We still have to remind her quite often, but she’s becoming more habitual in her “pleases”, “thank-yous”, “yes ma’am”, and “no ma’ams”.

I’m sure there are many more things I could tell about my Princess Paige, but overall she’s just a great kid that makes our life very interesting, trying, and joyful all at the same time.  We had no idea what we were getting into when Paige Allison was born 5 years ago, but we cannot (literally) even remember what life was like before her.

We love you Paige-a-licious!
