Last Tuesday Paige was invited to a birthday party for Lydia, a girl in her Pre-K class. She’s been invited to parties for other kids before but the timing wasn’t ever right. I knew she would love this party because there were horse rides since Lydia’s family owns several acres of land and lots of animals.
Of course Paige loved riding Pepper and eventually was comfortable enough to not need to be led by Lydia’s mom.
Brother enjoyed watching Sissy on Pepper, but he enjoyed riding on Pepper with Sissy much, much better!
Stephen wasn’t able to come with us to the party because he had Parent/Teacher conferences at school, but as we were talking about how much fun the kids had at the party we realized just how blessed we are to have 2 kids that are willing to try new things and not be deathly afraid of them. I’m much more on the cautious side of things that Stephen is and I think our kids are a great blend of both of us. We know several kids that aren’t ever exposed to these types of situations and we are thankful that we’ve decided to at least expose our kids to opportunities. They may like it or they may hate it, but we’re giving them a chance to see for themselves!
Paige had a great time celebrating Lydia’s 5th birthday and we are planning a playdate soon so Paige and Lydia can ride horses together again.
