I can’t believe that Ryan is already 1 week old! This week has gone by fairly quickly considering we are getting into a routine as a family of 4. Ryan has eaten very well since my milk has come in…the days before that happened were a little stressful for me because I had no clue if he was getting enough to eat or not. We went to the doctor yesterday for a 1 week check-up and Ryan’s circumcision. He weighed 7 lbs, 2 ounces when we left the hospital last Thursday and yesterday he was back up to 7 pounds, 8 ounces! One ounce bigger than birth weight! His circumcision went well…I freaked out the first time I saw him after the procedure. It was just a little more brutal than I had anticipated. Plus I knew he was experiencing some discomfort and I was scared to death to touch him to put Vaseline on! I prayed for strength and the next change was MUCH better and we’ve continued to improve since. We think it looks a ton better today and we’re hoping each following day will continue the trend.
