Paige and her Papa (my dad) planted a watermelon seed that was just for her. She helped him water it and watched it grow as the summer progressed. Unfortunately, with the horrible drought we are experiencing no amount of watering could keep the vine alive and the watermelon fell off the vine. So…there will be no eating this watermelon. It’s just for looks! BUT, Paige was so excited about having a watermelon that she grew. I think this will be an annual event for her and Papa. Papa said they were going to take it out to Papa’s cabin today and feed it to the hogs!
