Rolling Over!

On our 2nd snow day of this year (1-20-11), Ryan rolled over for the first time!  He’s been going about 3/4 of the way over from his back to his belly and while he still hasn’t mastered that part, he did go from his belly to his back.  He’s getting much stronger and I’m so excited that he’s started rolling.

Here’s his end result! The first time he did it, he rolled off of his farm mat and knocked his noggin on the hardwood floor.  He didn’t like that too much!

Ryan had a big day on the 20th, because he also sat up like a big boy all by himself for about a minute!  He’s doing the “gorilla” sit, but he’s doing it all alone so we’re proud!

Paige was very excited that she witnessed Ryan’s first time to roll over…truth be told, she’s the ONLY one who actually saw him do it.  I was running to the barstools to get my camera out of my purse and in the literally 3 seconds I had my back turned, Ryan rolled!  Thankfully he did it several more times so I could take pictures, but Paige saw it the first time.  She was very excited that “Big Sis” was the only one to see the first time…it was special for her.
