That's the tag line for one of my favorite Food Network shows, Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller. But loving this crazy life is exactly how I feel this week! We have played 3 softball games so far this week and starting at 4:30 today, our tournament will officially be underway. I've been running around like mad trying to get everything in order and taken care of...making sure the concession stand is stocked, putting team packets together with tournament rules, brackets, and a letter, organizing parents to bring food for the hospitality room and working the gates for admission and concession stand, not to mention trying to organize Paige's things because she's spending the entire weekend with my parents! I'm so thankful that my parents are close (4 minutes from my house to theirs!) and that they are so willing to help with Paige whenever we need it. I wouldn't be able to do as much as I do without them!
Sometimes I wonder if I'm prioritizing my life correctly. By that, I mean I get caught up in helping with things like this tournament and I feel guilty for leaving my daughter with my parents. But JR and LE (my teacher friends at school!) reminded me on Monday that I'm called first to help my husband and support him in whatever he does. He does softball. Period. And I'm very glad that he depends on my for so much...I'd much rather it be me than someone else! :) I have to remind myself that I'm loving on him by being supportive of his job and helping so much. I also have to tell myself that Paige will adore the time that she has with my parents and probably would rather me leave her with them than bring her home!
I'm already totally exhausted from all the running around I've done this week, and it will only get worse and tonight and tomorrow play out. We're really praying that the weather will cooperate-it's starting to cloud up here.
Maybe I should try to take a short nap before I head to the fields...or maybe not.
