We WON a battle of wills....
Bless my precious child's heart, she is stubborn! In some ways I'm incredibly thankful that she knows what she wants and is persistent in her endeavors. However, when it comes to her being persistent when she doesn't want to do something that Stephen and I have told her to do, it's a major problem. Take tonight at dinner, for instance. We weren't supposed to be home for dinner tonight, so after I tanned I went to Sonic and used a buy one burger, get one free coupon. I also got Paige a hamburger Wacky Pack. By the way, she LOVES them...So, I get home with the goods and we proceed to put Paige in her highchair and have dinner. Well, Paige absolutely refuses to eat her hamburger, which she MUST eat before she gets any french fries! She even goes as far as trying to trick us into thinking she's eaten then hamburger! She would take the pieces of hamburger off of her plate and pile them up on the highchair tray and then say "Good girl!", like she should be rewarded with a french fry. We so didn't fall for it! We attempted to talk her through eating the hamburger, but she was having none of it and we decided we had to be the parents in this situation! So, off to time out Paige went. She spent her customary 2 minutes in her bedroom alone and Stephen went to get her. She immediately got back into her highchair and chowed down on some hamburger. HALLELUJAH! We won! I know this might sound like Paige wins most often, but that's not the case. She's normally a super good eater and we honestly don't have to fight her about what she does and doesn't eat. She eats things that Stephen and I won't touch with 10 foot poles! We are blessed with a very not picky eater!
